Melissa Eckstein has been an educator since 1995 first as a teacher, then counselor and currently District Career Facilitator.  Melissa facilitates Gateway to Careers initiatives at Gateway Regional High School.  She coordinates partnerships with over 100 businesses to create career experiences and pathways for the students including internships, structured learning experiences, projects, and special events.

She has been recognized by the NJ Department of Labor as both a partner and an industry champion and does presentations on career initiatives.  She is passionate about showing students career possibilities available to them as well as highlighting efforts of the talented and inspiring students and staff at Gateway.

Melissa is the Vice Chair on the Board of Mid Atlantic States Career Education Center and serves on Wenonah’s Sustainable NJ Green Team.  In her spare time, she enjoys many outdoor activities including paddle boarding, hiking, and kayaking.  She is also a 7-year member of the competitive dragon boat team in Wenonah.
